Frequently asked questions.

What is it like to have a session with Jenny Elaine?

Planing Session:

We will sit down and plan out all of the details for your session like makeup, hair, sets, and wardrobe selections.

Photoshoot Experience:

You will return 2 weeks later for your photoshoot experience. You will start by being pampered by our hair and makeup professionals!

Next, Jenny Elaine will guide you through your photoshoot experience. We will assist you every step of the way with posing guidance to help you look and feel your best. Our Job is to make you feel comfortable, enjoy the shoot, and have fun! We will spend the day celebrating you! You will even get to see some of your images on the back of the camera to see how awesome your shoot is. We will work through up to 4 different looks by changing sets, looks and wardrobes.

What types of set do you have?

Our studio is constantly evolving with new set pieces and wardrobe selections, but some of our most popular sets are our classic clawfoot bathtub, sultry shower, bed ensconced with satin sheets, vibrant neon lights, white sheet to emphasize your beauty, dreamy clouds with our wildly popular custom made wings, among various floral and custom made backdrops.

Ordering and Viewing Session:

I will retouch and edit your images after your session. On average our clients have about 200 retouched images to view at their purchasing session about 1 - 2 weeks after their photoshoot.

I really cant model, can you help me?

I’m going to show you every pose and direct you from head to toe. I have also been known to show the back of my camera so you can see what I see! Nothing like a boost of confidence to know that the awkward feeling pose you are in looks drop-dead gorgeous.

I dont know how to pose. Will you guide me through the session?

I am going to walk you through every step of the process. From which outfits to wear first to where you will pose.

When will I get to see my photos?

Your ordering session is scheduled for 1-2 weeks after your shoot. On that day you’ll get to see your fully edited photos and pick the ones you want to purchase. Our collections with an album and digitals start at $899, our albums and folio boxes start at $749, and our average boudoir client spends $1500 at their ordering session.

Where will my boudoir session take place?

Your session will take place in my Janesville studio. We also offer sessions all over the Midwest as well as destination locations like Orlando, Las Vegas, and other fun destinations.

Do I have to wax?

No, you don’t. Body hair grooming is personal and you should do what you feel comfortable with. However, if you are interested in waxing please follow these tips.

If you have never waxed, plan it out, so you have had at least one wax 10-12 weeks before your shoot to see how your skin reacts. If you handled it well with no skin irritation and you didn't mind the pain, go back again about a week before your boudoir session.

Do you offer hair & makeup?

Yes! Only with the best, of course.

What should I wear?

We will go over this during our planning meeting because your outfits are going to look much different than the other clients featured in my portfolio. Your figure, your vision, and your comfort level. We also offer a huge client closet right in our studio. It includes robes, wings, lingerie, and body jewelry sizes XS to 4XL!!!

Will my photos be posted on your website? Can my photos be kept private?

All photographs will be kept private and are only shared with your consent.

How far in advance should I schedule my shoot?

Get on the books as soon as possible! I am booking sessions 4-8 weeks from your inquiry call date. I want to ensure we have enough time to get you in our studio for your boudoir shoot and have plenty of time to get your handcrafted album in your hands.

Do I have to get naked for my boudoir shoot?

Only if you want to. Boudoir has a wide spectrum. We photograph anywhere from a sexy sweater and jeans to full fine art nude portraits. Why not?! Here's the deal, BODYSCAPES... gorgeous, classic, timeless, fine-art photographs. You are going to want to be photographed in the nude because these seem to be most client's favorites! All nude poses are photographed tastefully and of course, only if you feel comfortable.
